Volunteer recognized for contributions in 2019

Volunteers are an integral part of Habitat for Humanity’s mission. Without their support and dedication, affordable homeownership would remain a dream for many families in need of decent and affordable housing.

At Habitat for Humanity we recognize the importance of celebrating volunteers across Canada who have given their time and efforts to make a profound difference in the lives of others. Recently, our volunteer Mark Goldstein, was recognized for his exceptional volunteer service with Habitat for Humanity Niagara.

We presented Mark with a personalized certificate along with a letter of appreciation from Habitat Canada’s President and CEO, Julia Deans.

Here’s what our team had to say about Mark:

Mark has been an integral part of the Salvage Team since 2017.

In his own words, he volunteers to “help improve the opportunities for those in need within the community. It's rewarding, the people are amazing. I'm proud to be both involved with and advocate for Habitat!"

The program is our largest revenue source for helping to fund our home building program and Mark is easily the most valuable member on the team, having done 66 salvage appointments last year, often as Crew Lead. Mark is the first to take on the more challenging jobs and always puts in extra effort when needed.

Thanks Mark for your dedication to Habitat for Humanity!
