Donate your used appliances
Once you’ve made the decision to upgrade your appliances (major appliances or countertop appliances), you’ll need to decide what to do with the old ones.
Whether they are working or not, our Niagara Habitat for Humanity ReStores will gladly pick them up for FREE!
Major household appliances have a lifespan of ten to 15 years, and the day will come when you need to replace them. Planning to upgrade your appliances in advance gives you the opportunity to prepare for the financial expense, versus waiting for your appliance to breakdown.
Whether out of concern for the environment or a desire to help others, don’t dump it – donate it! Our Habitat ReStores are an environmentally friendly option that helps to make a difference in our community.
- Working appliances we’ll sell it at our ReStores (and you may qualify for a tax receipt!)
- If your appliance isn’t working, we have a metal recycling program, that diverts materials from our landfills by ensuring it is responsibly recycled.
Either way, your donated appliances will help support our home building program, building affordable homes right here in our community.
