WHAT IS WOMEN BUILD?
Habitat for Humanity Niagara’s Women Build promotes the involvement of women in the construction of Habitat homes by hosting build projects with the majority of the planning and execution undertaken by women volunteers. Women Build is not about excluding men but it is all about including women!
NO CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
We teach you all you need to know! Skilled Crew Leaders will work with all teams to help guide them as they build a home.
Safety always comes first on our work site so proper attire must be worn including steel toe shoes and work gloves. Habitat Niagara will provide CSA certified hard hats and eye protection. Safety training will be given at the beginning of the workday.
To keep build costs low, we ask each volunteer to bring their own steel toe boots and a basic set of tools with them (hammer, tape measure, pencil, utility knife, gloves and a tool belt).
A HANDS ON EXPERIENCE YOU WON'T FORGET!
In 2016 we look forward to providing WOMEN BUILD days on EVERY Habitat build project with our Adopt a Build Day Sponsorship Program and hope that you'll join us!
