Grimsby ReStore celebrates 1 year with sale
The Grimsby Habitat for Humanity's ReStore is celebrating its first year of being in business by offering a sale.
The anniversary sale is scheduled 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, August 11th at the store, located at 185 South Service Road with a community BBQ, in store specials and 10% off of your entire purchase.
"We're so thankful to our community, donors, customers and volunteers for their tremendous support during the past year,” said Erol Onen, ReStore manager.
As a thank you to the community, the ReStore will provide a free BBQ hot dog lunch to customers during the sale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until supplies run out.
Ken Morrison has been a volunteer at the Grimsby ReStore since it first open. “The volunteers and staff are an excellent group and I look forward to going in every Tuesday and Thursday. It’s great knowing we are recycling appliances and light fixtures and doing our part to help the environment while helping to provide funding to build new homes giving less fortunate families a start in life.”
Erol also said the ReStore relies on volunteers for success. Anyone interested in volunteering, please contact Angela Daley at 905-685-7395 ext 402.
Habitat for Humanity Restores are donation centres and home improvement stores offering a wide selection of new and gently used furniture, building supplies, kitchens, décor, appliances, lighting, and much more for a fraction of the retail price, plus you never pay the HST.
The ReStores play an integral part in Habitat’s mission, bringing financial support for the work they do. Donations and purchases help homeowners achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves and their families.
This is Habitat for Humanity Niagara’s third ReStore with locations also at 2499 HWY 20, Fonthill and 150 Bunting Road, St. Catharines. The Niagara ReStores are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
