At the end of the day, we can all give a little something to the ReStore. Look around your next renovation project and you will see lots of items that could be donated, from entire kitchens to a set of door hinges.  We're always accepting donations of reuseable resellable materials.

Donation Guidelines

All items must be inspected by our staff prior to donating or unloading.

  • Doors: exterior, interior, storm (with trim, screen and hardware), French, fire-rated, bifold, louvered, shutters, paneled, all maximum of 15 years old.
  • Windows: thermal, leaded, stained glass or other decorative windows, no larger than 6’ x 6’, maximum of 15 years old.
  • Kitchen Units: complete units only, cupboards, sinks, and all fixtures.
  • Bathroom Units: claw foot tubs, clean complete toilets (white and bone only), medicine cabinets, vanities, undamaged mirrors with frames.
  • Electrical/Lighting: wall, overhead, florescent, exterior, complete fans, breaker panels, power cords, maximum 5 years old.
  • Flooring/Lumber: as new products including trim, baseboards, hardwood floor, paneling, plywood, cove mouldings, complete door trim (nails must be removed); minimum 8’ lengths for lumber.
  • Plumbing: faucets, all piping.
  • Construction Material: unused and in-date caulking, glue, paint, architectural detailing, boxed nails and screws.
  • Hardware: complete door hardware, window, cabinet and antique.
  • Furniture: excellent condition desks, dressers, bed frames, table sets, chairs, patio, maximum 10 years old, no mattresses or upholstered furniture (excluding leather).
  • Appliances: excellent working condition, dishwashers, stoves, refridgerators, washers, dryers, maximum 7 years old, no dry freezers.
  • Housewares: new lightbulbs, new bathroom accessories, ladders, gardening equipement, lawnmowers, snowblowers.
  • Other: fireplace mantels, grates, screens, fireplace inserts, tools, televisions, stereos, new BBQ.

Call us at 905-685-7365 before you begin a renovation project to see if what you have is suitable for donating. We will either let you know over the phone or we will come out to your location for an on-site appraisal. We can even schedule our volunteer salvage team to help you tear down, rip out or load up your donation.
